  • Class Etiquette & Guidelines
    1. Equal Participation: All students, whether from the professional group or regular class, pay equally and are treated the same. Professional group matters will be addressed separately, outside of regular class time. 2. Instructor Authority: There is only one instructor per class. Students may not offer instruction or guidance to others without the instructor’s explicit approval. Questions or concerns should be directed to the instructor privately after class. 3. Respectful Conduct: Refrain from interrupting the instructor, conversing, or using phones during class. Disruptions of any kind are not allowed. Sarcastic remarks or jokes should be kept outside of class, as they are not always well received. 4. Collaborative Interaction: While collaborative problem-solving is encouraged, students must raise their hands and wait to be acknowledged by the instructor before speaking or contributing. Support your peers, encourage respectful dialogue, and communicate in a tactful and respectful manner. 5. Welcoming New Students: Be friendly and inclusive to new students, helping them feel comfortable and integrated into the class. 6. Information Requests: Questions about the dance academy, such as information regarding the Performance Company, should be directed to the instructor or a designated representative. Unauthorized information should not be shared with new students or guests. 7. Post-Class Practice: With instructor approval, students may practice choreographies quietly after class, away from the main rehearsal area to avoid disruption. 8. Embrace Mistakes: Understand that mistakes are part of the learning process. Create a safe space where everyone feels comfortable trying new things without fear of judgment. 9. Stay Engaged and Inclusive: Avoid forming cliques or engaging in side conversations that may exclude others. Make an effort to connect with all classmates. 10. Lead by Example: As members of the professional team, contribute positively by sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm without overshadowing others’ experiences. Model the behavior you wish to see in the class by showing respect, patience, and kindness to all students. By following these guidelines, we aim to create a nurturing and enjoyable environment where every student feels valued and empowered. Thank you for your cooperation!
